Welcome to ScamCheckby Cover Your Assets
We're here to help you.
ScamCheck needs a screenshot or photo of what you're checking.
This app works on your phone or your computer, but we recommend using your phone for the easiest experience, especially when it comes to taking screenshots.
Do you have a screenshot ready?
Not sure how? Click here for instructions
On your iPhone:
Press and hold the button on the side of your iPhone and the volume-up button at the same time.
Let go of both buttons.
If the picture fills your screen, tap the checkmark (✓) at the top right, then tap Save to Photos. Don't choose the red options — they delete the screenshot.
Tap the checkmark (✓)Then tap Save to Photos
If a small picture appears in the corner instead, you don't need to do anything. It saves to your Photos by itself.
Tip: to have screenshots save by themselves every time, open Settings, then General, then Screen Capture, and turn off Full-Screen Previews.
On your Mac:
Press Shift, Command, and 4 at the same time.
Drag to select the area you want, then let go.
The screenshot is saved automatically to your Desktop.
Where to find what you're checking:
Email: open your email app and find the email, then take a screenshot as above.
Text message: open your Messages app and find the text, then take a screenshot as above.
Voicemail: open your Phone app, tap Voicemail, and select the transcribed voicemail, then take a screenshot as above.
Paper mail: lay the letter on a flat surface and take a photo of it with your camera β no screenshot needed.
